Best friends til the end

Rachel Dawn Gower.

Most of you are probably thinking who is that? Well she is my "BFF"

I met this girl for the first time in 5th grade. Our friendship started that day and has grown into seven years of fun times. We have been through so much that you would probably think that we were together every day of those seven years! Thats 2,555 days! Well we didn't hang out everyday but when we did, it was fun. Our 6th grade year we went on our first Disney trip together with the team! But it wasn't until freshman year when we became best friends! We started to hang out more, she would come over, we would go to recitals and competitions together and had a blast.

Once we both got our licenses the teenage best friends came out! We went to dance together, still continued to go to recitals and competitions as well. But since we both had our licenses we were able to do a lot more. We went on movie dates, have been on endless car rides to Augusta for basketball games and cheering tournaments, she is my co-pilot on long car rides epsecially to Old Orchard (even if we get lost). does burn outs with my car in the Tim Hortons parking lot while trying to park in the snow, and sometimes I even get lucky enough to pump her gas even though she doesn't pump mine for me.

That is just a snapshot of my lovely adventures with my best friend. We will both be graduating in less than three months. I will be graduating from Bucksport and she will be graduating from Hampden Academy. Luckily for us, we are able to get ourselfs an apartment and create more amazing memories while we go through college together. To be completely honest I wouldn't want to go through college with anyone else besides Rachel. <3

LIKE I LOVE YOU.

Last weekend I competed in my last competition as a Top Hat II dancer. I was in five routines and had some of the most complicated routines I've ever had in my  twelve years of dancing. One routine that I was nervous for was my trio. My friends Micaela and Mikala did this routine with me. Our song was Like I Love You by Justin Timberlake. We started learning it the end of January and performed it March 15th. While we were learning it, we were move nervous and excited then anything else. Before we went on stage to perform for the judges we knew that we had to give it our all, give attitude, and perform it like it was the last time.

The announcer called our number and we walked out. The music came on and rush went through all three of us. We started moving our feet and were nailing every step and keeping on time. Towards the end we each had an eight count for a solo. Micaela went first and nailed it, I was next and as I went to do a toe stand my toe got caught on the stage. I kept going hoping the judges didn't notice and continued doing my thing while Mikala did her solo. We finished the routine and walked off stage. I kept apologizing to them because I was more than positive I screwed the entire routine up for us.

It was time for awards and I was shaking. All three of us were holding hands and were squeezing harder and harder the close they got to our number. The number before us was called and I swear my heart stopped beating. They called our number and said elite directly after. All three of us screamed. Elite is the highest award you can get. Next for us was to see who came in the top five! They called fifth place, wasn't us. Fourth was called wasn't us again. Third and second were called and it wasn't us again. I was freaking out because all I could think about was how I let two of my best friends down. "First place is..." Dan, the announcer, always had to make it dramatic. "LIKE I LOVE YOU, TOP HAT II DANCE STUDIO!" The three of us jumped up screaming because we were so happy. We ran to the top of the stage to grab our trophy and talk to the guy who helped Dan.

Directly after we talked, awards ended and ran to go see our family and dance teachers. I immediately started balling because I didn't screw up the routine for all of us and I was so amazed of how amazing we did and what we won.
